Window installation continues at a fast and furious pace. These guys come from Sierra Pacific in California. They are part of the Sustainable Forestry Initiative. Don’t know what that means exactly. Warning: Grossness below. Not for the squeamish. Ok, what the hell is this creature? I found this in our living (oh, the irony) room. There had been a family of Great Horned Owls hanging about and it seems they had a feast on something, but we have no idea what. I put the skin (that was all that was left with the weird tail and feet) outside and was going to check it out more later. I came back half an hour later and it was gone. It obviously didn’t get up and walk away even though it had feet. Guess some other critter has no qualms about eating the skin and didn’t care that skin is fattening. After talking to Brayden, the farrier, he suggested it might be a muskrat.
